– our mission –

We’re here to inspire individuals to connect with the wild through food, fun, and a bit of fearless exploring.

Let’s spark a bit of curiosity and get more people into the outdoors — not just the harry hard outs, but anyone keen to give it a crack. It’s not about being the best, the fittest or the flashiest. It’s about showing up, having a go and maybe ending the day with something wild on your plate or a good story to tell for years to come.

We reckon food tastes better when you’ve worked for it and stories are better when you’ve got the scratches to prove it.

Sure, Hogs and Hinds might sound like it’s all about the hunt – and yeah, we love a bit of wild game, but we’ve grown into something more. This is about getting out there, giving things a go and bringing out the wild in all of us.

We’re learning too. You can’t know it all and we don’t pretend to. We’re out here figuring things out like everyone else. That’s why we lean on the knowledge of like-minded people who’ve been there, done that and are still figuring it out just like us. It’s about sharing what works and laughing about what doesn’t – especially laughing about what doesn’t!

We believe that the outdoors should be something we can all access, enjoy and laugh about along the way.

Located in Puhoi, New Zealand, and inspired by our love of the outdoors, it’s our aim to create pieces for all of those barefoot walking adventure seeking folks out there.
